The Shadow Sister Yedi Kız Kardeş serisinin üçüncü kitabı. Serinin aynı adı taşıyan ilk kitabını büyük zevkle okumuştum çünkü gerçeklerden kaçmak isteyenler için harika bir hikaye sunuyor. İkinci kitapta aradığımı bulamamış olsam da serideki tüm kitapları okumak istediğimi biliyordum. İyi ki pes etmemişim. The Shadow Sister Star adlı kız kardeşin hikayesini müthiş bir şekilde anlatıyor. Şimdiden diğer kitapları okumak için sabırsızlanıyorum.
The Shadow Sister, serideki diğer kitaplar gibi hem şimdinin hem de geçmişin hikayesini anlatıyor. Star’ın içine kapanık karakteri ve etkisinde kaldığı kardeşinin gölgesinden çıkmasını okumak hayli eğlenceliydi. Ancak kitabı gerçek bir kaçış kitabı yapan Star’ın gerçek ailesini bulması ile başlıyor. Star kardeşi Ce-Ce ile zaten yaşamaya karar verdiği ülkede (spoiler vermemek için neresi söylemek istemiyorum) gerçek ailesini bulmaya karar veriyor. Kendisine kalan ipuçları onu eski ve kıymetli kitaplar satan bir kitapçıya götürüyor. Ben içinde kitapçı olan her kitabı çok sevdiğimden bu kitabı da hemen sevdim.
Ancak daha sonra ortaya çıkacak onca iyi karakter ve en az karakterler kadar ilgi çekici bir ev var hikayede. Mekanları ve onlarla ilişkili insanların hem geçmişte hem de bugünde yaşadıklarını okumak gerçekten çok keyifliydi. 700 sayfa olmasına rağmen kitabı üç günde bitirmem de bundan dolayı. Siz de sizi farklı ülkelere götürüp birbirinden değişik hikayeler anlatacak bir kaçış kitabı arıyorsanız bu seiyi öneririm. Keyifle!
